On Your Bike - Sunday 8 June
On Your Bike Needs You!
In just under two weeks’ time the annual On Your Bike cycling event (not a race) will be held in Sonning Common. This year it is being held on Sunday 8 June, starting at Sonning Common Primary School from 10:30.
The aim of On Your Bike is to get families and friends riding their bikes together in a choice of rides from 6, 12 or 20 miles through the leafy roads around us - we are very lucky to live where we do! There is also a supervised playground ride for younger riders.
ALL of the money raised through entries is donated to one of 3 local charities - this year for the first time, Maiden Erlegh Chiltern Edge PTA (CESA), will be one of the beneficiaries.
CESA will be running a stall and Mr Caldwell will also be onsite to lend his support to the event. If would be fantastic if students and parents are able to attend what promises to be a fantastic community event, please find more information below:
Entering as a rider
Entries are now open at www.onyourbikesonningcommon.co.uk and then FAQ to register. The cost of entry is £8.00 per person before the day of the ride and £12.00 to enter on the day.
Volunteering to marshal
The event relies on volunteers to run safely, the team of marshals ensure that families find their way around the courses, receive a well-deserved bit of encouragement and also get a free bacon sandwich (other options available) and a hot drink for their efforts.
