A great turn out for our first Parent Conference hosted at Maiden Erlegh School (Silverdale Road)

Thank you to everyone who supported our Parent Conference at Maiden Erlegh School (Silverdale Road) on 4 March 2019, especially Elizabeth Burton-Phillips MBE, who shared her very personal story about the effects of drug addiction on the whole family.  A huge thank you also to Elizabeth's son, Simon and the all the staff from the following agencies who supported the event: JAC (Just Around the Corner), SAFE Project, Smart, Thames Valley Police, Wokingham Safeguarding Children and the Youth Offending Service.  The feedback we received from this event was overwhelmingly positive.

The next Parent Conference takes place at Waingels College on 20 March 2019.  The topic is: 'Exploitation (County Lines, sexting, on-line grooming).  It will be presented by Christina Berenger (Detective Chief Inspector, PVP Berkshire, Thames Valley Police).  To book a place please email: parentconference@waingels.wokingham.sch.uk
